Penile Enlargement (“MAN-UP” Procedure)

Injections for male enlargement at The Center for Advanced Urology include the enhancement of penile width and girth through a procedure that is non-surgical and non-invasive. A dermal filler is injected into the shaft of the penis to increase the width and the girth.

THE “MAN-UP” PROCEDURE FOR MEN

Penile Enlargement with Dermal Filler

On average, penis size is 5-6 inches and the diameter of the penis is about 4-1/2 inches. This procedure expands the girth of the penis, not the length. Increasing the width or girth of the penis may improve sensation for the patient and his partner. There may be psychological benefits, as well.

The injections involved with the “MAN-UP” procedure are compatible with testosterone therapy or medications that improve erections.

How Is the “MAN-UP” Procedure Performed?

Patients undergoing the “MAN-UP” procedure receive topical or local anesthesia.

About 15 or 20 minutes after the anesthesia is applied, Dr. Diamond injects lidocaine in the base of the penis to further block any pain sensations.

The dermal filler is then injected into the patient. The entire procedure takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes and the results are immediate.

The patient’s penis will be swollen for a couple days, with the possibility of some bruising, but the swelling will go down in about a week.

What Type of Dermal Filler Will Be Used with the “MAN-UP” Procedure?

There are several options for dermal fillers available and Dr. Diamond will help you choose the best option for you.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are the most commonly used dermal fillers. HA is the same filler used for lip and cheek augmentations (or anywhere on the face.)

On average, ten syringes are used during the “MAN-UP” Procedure, but that can vary.

An advantage of using a Hyaluronic acid filler is that it can be reversed if a patient is not happy with the results, for any reason. The HA filler can be dissolved using certain enzymes.

Another type of filler is Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite filler that is not reversible.

Revanesse
Another filler Dr. Diamond uses as a dermal filler is called Revanesse Versa, or “Versa”.

The main ingredient of Revanesse is Hyaluronic Acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the body. Revanesse – or Versa – has a higher molecular weight than other HA fillers, which may lead to longer-lasting results.

Bellafill

Bellafill is an FDA-approved filler for cosmetic procedures that’s used most often for deep facial volume repletion. It’s a permanent filler, but with Bellafill, there’s a high risk of granuloma (i.e. a small cluster of whitel blood cells and other tissue) , especially when its used in for superficial placements.

How Much Does the “MAN-UP” Procedure Cost?

The price of the “MAN-UP” procedure varies by individual patient and the patient’s preferences. Dr. Diamond typically starts the “MAN-UP” procedure with 5 syringes of the HA dermal filler. Patients may choose to add extra syringes on the same day as the first treatment and receive a significant discount on the syringes/procedure. Please contact us to learn more.
